Good thank you so much street time under Colin -- predict would you say. The 49 our offense is evolving or have they as Kurt Warner suggests lost their way a little bit. You know that's a good question I don't know that necessarily lost their way but I and I think on -- predict lot of really nice things but when. When you really look at it I don't know that the offense is really dramatically different in terms of production. And and what they've done under -- cap particular hole relative to what Alex Smith it's certainly important certain areas -- -- -- because -- is a more dynamic runner I think when you say that you take away really -- -- Smith is an athlete what he was able to running the football but. Overall when you look at the totality of points in third downs and things of that nature it's -- what its -- Does that suggest you -- that they're gonna go out there and basically give francoeur the ball and try to control clock minimize mistakes and as you say may be a game similar to what they would have asked Alex Smith to -- I think the approach is similar I don't know what they really call that many different plays and we noticed offenses is predicated on. It's their ability to run the football wanna be physical up front they're very good added it is. It is good and offensive line is I've seen since the line that I play behind him back. It's really an offense that reminds me a lot of some of the teams I was part of and something you just don't see a lot of in today's NFL you know with. Really physical athletic guys smash mouth. We're gonna impose our will take some shots down the field create some big plays they've got. Athletes really across the board I'm amazed when I watched 49ers. On both sides of the ball every position there about it athletic group is an offensive lineman. I mean the way that these guys run for big guys it's an impressive. Imposing roster that they have. Offensively and could come down to the kicking game -- people can -- fog here about whether -- because -- -- acres depending on acres injury. Ultimately you need touchdowns to be Green Bay do you think the the kicking controversy will rear its head in the game. Well I think it'll be a factor I certainly think that because Mason Crosby. For Green Day he's had his slump as well now he seems to become an out of it he's made his last five but. We've had a number of Green Bay packer games this year where he has really struggled of course. You know as you just said David Akers has been struggling. What are they going to do at that position -- -- -- Billy Cundiff but. You know these playoff games you know there -- not a a lot of like all these games really I mean there was a time where you beat teams by ten points most these games come down in the fourth quarter. I take two really good teams and you put them against each other and often times the kicking game is the difference and that's. That's one of the reasons why John. SS. Troy Aikman with a Cyrano -- five point seven game. Troy after the niners made the switch at quarterback you said some things on the that coach Harbaugh even comment on his weekly press conference. Do you still think if we understand what you had -- -- correctly do you still think Alex Smith maybe should've been more vocal with his displeasure over being benched in the first place. I'm -- here is here or my remarks is that it personalize applaud the organization and I applaud Jim Harbaugh in particular decision because it was based on what he thought was best for the team and that's not easy to do you know a lot of coaches will take the easy route they'll go with the guy and then when he struggles in the poll but. You know I applaud. Jim Harbaugh for saying we silicon cap and it gives us the best chance and to combat mr. Mets swept. As far as you know Alex Smith and how we handle that I said that by Warren issues I would have handled it as well team that. If you wanna start on cap her neck then come out at the beginning of the week and say you're going to start on cabinet I'm not happy about this. I'm going to be good soldier I was in that situation going into a playoff game. In 1991. When I was told that I was not going to start the playoff games beeper line was. I wasn't happy about it and I went into Jimmie Johnson's office and I explained that I told them. I'm gonna say all the right things publicly I'm not gonna create a distraction for this team I understand. You know that the team comes first I just want you to know that I'm not happy about this but I would not have gone along during the week and answered questions to the media. As if I didn't know who was going to be start the game you know and said he did. And that's the kind of guy that he -- we talked on the table for the game and he was still colonists. That he could not say whether he would be playing or not and I think that. It's hard enough for -- be told it's not going to be playing but then to tell them OK I don't want to say anything publicly. For the entire week I don't know I I would panel that quite as well well it's meant that. Troy Aikman with a ceremony five point seven a game. Colin -- critic obviously is already played in some big games he started some big games but here we go playoff time so what are the unique challenges. That he's gonna be facing in his first playoff start Troy. You have in the game is just it's a little different when you get to the post season it's a little bit like the differences from playing in a pre season game and then going into the regular cities and I think that. The fact that you recognize that. Davis' final you know there's a finality to a that if you don't win you go home your season's over and so with that there's some real urgency. You can feel it you can -- journal week that you prepared certainly feel when you take the field and every play becomes important every third down becomes important and and it's magnified you've got two good teams and that. That had outstanding years and that's why they're applying and so it is a little bit different in view he'll recognize that he has authority this week you'll recognize it early in the game. But my experiences. Tell me that at some point. It's been very dependent on the game but at some point the game will become like every other and it will slow down. And a -- also so. You know YouTube. You'd never know how. Player a quarterback because they're the ones touched the ball how a team is going to handle those situations. In but my guesses. Based on what I know can't cap -- -- what I've seen from him. You know he gets his first are -- in Chicago you know and there are complaint against Chicago. Not an easy defense be playing against any loaded up so. I don't think that that if I don't think that this being in his first playoff game. Is going to determine who ultimately wins and loses this game has played well. But I think you'll handle the moment well. Randy mosque a mosque possibly one of the guys who encountered a BG. Possibly due time he's got that ability and if they wanna get the ball downfield -- certainly one of the guys it's capable -- -- you know he's not. The guy that he was back when when he was in his twenties but he's still an explosive player watch it and it still runs very well it still. You know strike spirited defense so whether he would catch him whether he's the one ultimately catch in the ball downfield or not is his impact. Is certainly measurable on the field when -- plan. Troy you in the 49ers when you're playing you guys had one of the all time great rivalries in league history. I'm wondering when you return to candlestick what are some of the memories come flooding back and I know they weren't all plaza about having you guys had so many great games. When your vacuum canister which games and plays he reminded us. Well it's it's a great venue. You know and I know that they're going to be turned it down at some point but a lot of great games some that I was a part of some that I wasn't but. Certainly forty niner fans know all about those and the might -- my most memorable games as a player was when we played in our first NFC championship game there in the -- season and the 49ers -- fourteen in two and we were young team in the thirteen to three yen and we didn't even know really what we were -- -- went out we were able to win the game and then went on and won our first Super Bowl and and then the other game that I was most proud I was -- player and we didn't win was during the 94 NFC championship game. And we got beat we got down 21 points early in the game but. About for the first time Martinez had a chance to show it was made -- than we continue to compete almost were able to come back. And win that game but we have some great match up against the 49ers and Steve Jobs in. You know George Seifert most teams in the it was a lot of fun and we always knew when we played them in the regular season at that game was going to determine van where the NFC championship game was played for the most part that held true. Troy didn't you play most of done all the gaming it's a 49ers with a broken nose. Well I got not. I thought I broke my thumb in practice the day or two days before the game and there was questions as to whether to go play -- it played -- at candlestick I got knocked out in the championship game and out in 93. And I was the most severe concussion. That that I have ever had practiced there are still have no recollection of haven't played that game but I'll but -- Some great teams and great match ups and often times we are planned for pretty high stakes.
