Welcome and it's great to have you on hopefully your -- went well a year on your way home man. And you ready for good weekends can be great weekend here in San Francisco obviously outside lands is going on at Golden Gate Park. We got pre season football the raiders officially get under way we'll put ride back on that in just a minute but right now Jim Norton who I think is just one of them were truly comedians and all the world. Is not going to be -- cobb's comedy club tonight tomorrow night and we are thrilled to have you here in studio Jim thank. You so much for coming into that I appreciate it a great voice violently -- I'll stop -- I'm awesome decision -- -- -- does -- tremendous. What I like about an awful mouse he sound you're the most powerful or just a nice thank you very very much united to compliment because he spend an awful lot of time. On the radio very few comedians r.'s radio savvy as you are of course being co host of the -- OP I -- -- used to saying this it's it's hard to say that the open in Jim Norton show things have changed in the last month to settle into gadgets I still think Opie & Anthony and holly always think you're that way yeah yeah as a right now is just OP. And I mean I don't want to Nepal OP into income not a replacement for Anthony I writes I don't wanna step in my friend's grave you know. On right now we just don't know what to call so it's kind of Opie and Jim Norton there and will figure something out. Up Estonia while he's doing his own show now so is they -- -- kind of just moving on survivor yet -- let me tell you as a guy who does radio for a living in and understands what must be like to go one. Into -- show you really don't really wanted to do sometimes it must been very tough and I saw the show you guys had to do. That was a follow up showed into yuppie in there and it was tough on you guys and I thought there is an incredible amount of honesty and freedom in the broadcast it's been tough to do. Yeah it really -- I mean for some reason we've always been allowed to speak on Miley as much as I was very very angry they fired him. They didn't ask guys they said how we got to handle this on the air. Do you organic about it so that I'll say for them they didn't tell us don't talk about. You know a lot of radio guys and I just pretend it didn't happen and then you lose any credibility with your fans -- right what a worm. But they should just go out talk where we gotta say it would really got to do you know you're allowed to -- and an affair. Speaking of radio business I got to do a little earlier forgot this by the way we got a fat stacks of cash national contest the code words they swim you can text that the seven to. 881 by 510 you got five minutes of text that messaging data rates apply now back to Jim Norton who like I said it is going to be cobb's comedy tonight Jim I think you are. A brilliant guy and I've enjoyed it what is this like evolution of your career you went from would cringe humor to now I think you are. Really one of the more cutting edge observational comics out there man and I think it. It's amazing that here and then in in the world that we live in it takes a comedian to shine the light of truth on subjects that most people wanna -- What -- -- anywhere with that -- observations were Irish try to do because I like to make him is I feel like if I tell on myself. I include my own nonsense. Then the observation means something and that's to me the -- people make like we we make observations about each other that are like critical. Whether it's Donald Sterling or or somebody else who's done something stupid publicly -- Mel Gibson. We never tell ourselves so take a nation of -- turning around pointing the finger at each other and I'm like look. This is some of the stuff I've said and here's -- figure back after saying that you know I think if people just more open about their own garbage we wouldn't be so likely appoint each other. And act like wounded children when somebody says something awful frankly I get piece for time on line. About prostitution wanna ask you about it I read the whole thing it's an incredible compelling argument to thank you yeah initially I I I -- prostitution I mean I've always gotten prostitutes. But there is a downside to which is that there's a lot of trafficking involves a lot of horrible things involving that. So I think it should be legalized I think you would protect the workers a lot better so woman wrote a rebuttal. Com I thought that was flawed but it was well written so untreatable without the thing hey people make their decision on what the what they what they want you know she insulted my penis that was a little hurtful -- -- that did not the first dollars in market. -- happens Jim Norton here in studio and they'll like you're saying man if it it was it was a really interesting article it was thought provoking and it's amazing how much people reject the notion of their thought being provoked these states and I think that's a huge flaw that we have. In communicating we look at the way. You know if you're Republican you watch fox -- they're gonna give you a message won't offend you if you're -- Democrat watch MSNBC because no message to come across the screen it offends you it's important to be offended. And if you don't mind me saying you like the Michelangelo -- offending people these days. Thank you -- actually I don't mind offending people if it's on on social point that they don't agree with. Because I don't mind if somebody offends me. Like Christopher hitching and it was a brilliant speaker on free speech and he says something about what would you wanna -- to somebody you're also robbing yourself of the ability to Hewitt they have to say. I've heard a lot of crap I didn't like I've never wanted anyone to get in trouble Ford. Like Paul Maloney and -- you know Paul mowed absolutely you know like I want to onstage I know OJ didn't do it on the hook up. But I think I I would never want him to get in trouble for an opinion I just enjoyed him. And I -- some last -- some between these two girls. And they were doing some like anti rape joke thing and you look at these you know crazy rich culture girls so I watch it number you get irritated that it. But I watched it through I didn't let the possible opinion different Alley they're good. Like what they did was actually a really good piece in -- -- audience so thank you can't just get -- pissed off at somebody because they're giving a message that you don't. Yeah I was very excited -- were coming in like I was in -- followed your career for over a decade man you've made me laugh. Hundreds of items so very slow walking it all in my career. I'm not colonel -- Bob I mean seriously this is subtle stuff the -- the vice show Tony talking about the promo that you did with a woman vomiting in the bucket elect reviews have been mixed that is the best -- never -- shot for anything thank -- of all time that's brilliant man. You were fried T shirts yeah this is he or you're in the US senior in the -- -- -- all the fighting. Yes -- you want to think it was a white pride -- solid -- could. Yeah I love I love it's funny and onstage I'm hoping to misinterpret what just. We I love you -- I love -- it's amazing like that's the sport I go to now I don't really want to miss baseball or football anymore basketball. It's almost always you have -- we do boxing candidate of all I loved boxing when I was a kid and then it went it just I kind of went away from it. I'm curry got Tyson enough a gander Holyfield on your banner and as a time when I guess I'd like actually might actually has made two great photos happened for me that and I went to the premiere of his. He is a Broadway Show and Jake LaMont who was there so I took a picture with Mike Tyson and LaMont. Which actually -- the -- and get package it was just kind of bumbling all recent in his nineties on the PG AJ Cooley here and again and so I got a photo with those guys it's it's nice to be able to meet these people. Who -- like like idolize for so many years I saw Tyson's one -- -- we came out here and did -- that. -- or feed feeder up on market street it was really good you wanna talk about a guy who literally like took his clothes off he stood there naked for ninety minutes that was really I was impressed by the whole thing yet my first -- on the my show -- him and gain a light which can't gain image so much of that -- Dana White really went out of his way -- -- -- -- And I just a compelling. Honest guy and it's like I Billy Leo when the when the -- first happened I was I believe that he did I was -- And then when I finally heard him explain it from self and I read his book and I I saw him -- documentary and I heard image. I became convinced that wow he actually did not commit that crime it was weird sometimes you here's somebody explain something. The way you would defend yourself. That's how I would defend myself angrily. I wouldn't be good about it and go well the person's changed and I've changed my trial he was furious about it still on the that's how I would feel. So I just I truth to the emotion is anatomy and it really is Yahoo! could -- as somebody is wrongfully convicted. And then comes out it has like a really socialistic attitude I don't bias I don't either. -- feel anger but you watching that James told that documentary with him it was hard not to feel that he was being very raw and very truthful in that documentary. Again we're talking with comedian Jim Norton you've seen him a 100 times on Comedy Central you can see him now on vice dot com and how. A wanna get -- that it in in a world where communication is getting more score robbed by corporations. And and the message has been sanitized in preapproved for your consumption I think would -- is doing. HBO now they're usually runs after -- mark. The web site that you're now part of it's it's it's in a world of we're desperate for breath of fresh air I think the providing him. Yeah advice is really been greatly they have literally they knew they had a say over what I did because it's on their their site. But they -- almost no creative. Control they just kind of let me do it I was gonna do it was which I should have been saying that but again bid failed was my fault and no one to blame I would love to throw those guys and the -- -- Knew what I do I want your man not a big discounts on you know it's on me imagine they let me do an. I wanted they didn't send to the jokes. On they watched the first episode the monologues like a man that's really funny and you twisted and we're gonna put on so I I think people really like it. The second week I interviewed -- -- -- freeway Rick Ross who was a drug dealer right not a rapper to cocaine guy yet they got the rapper got his name from and he was a fascinating. Interview because you don't get to talk to guys. Who provided drugs for the Christian -- as a wholesaler very often and really another open and honest guy who was sentenced to life without parole but he got out on a technicality now he's free and clear and really another open honest dude it was great doctor. And and what's the point of bringing -- -- du -- and censoring you know I -- they hired the wrong guy that's the route they wanna go -- -- it to bring in. A guy like you who he let me see your your courting controversy that's what you want in the show so why. -- why -- a -- just the muscle. Right on and -- the thing is I'm so unpleasant physically to look at current Dalai. It's like nobody would hire me just because they need a pretty face -- in Amman to bomb being filmed for something. It must be because they like what I'm saying right because that. You know Colin we did tough -- Colin Quinn said something about it when you are smooth talk show just how would -- over jokes we could all bomb he would never take a bomb out. He would a bomb went coming -- Pacman Joker actually said walk walk walk out. And a couple of people in the crowd laughed in college. Just let him see it. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- It made the final Condit went out over the -- because that was what it was comedies he's not always flawless or it's not always smooth sometimes it's clumsy. Sometimes it's brutal and brilliant truthful and sometimes it's it's it's -- -- an easy and instinct. And it should all be shown for what it is do you think comedy comes from a dark place most of the time. Most the time I think so because I think it's born from need to be loved your improved outcome being funny is kind of the byproduct of the need. Which is like me like any other people find different ways to do that like you know maybe athletes are fighters get there. The error approval by being athletic I couldn't do that so for me was just being funny -- played very very few. Classically beautiful people male or female are inherently hilarious -- they didn't have that need likely if I want to go to the party. I had to juggle. There was no way I was getting -- right party it was all personality. But a lot of times extraordinarily good looking guys get asked just by the nature of being handsome nordic and Amanda. Now you can not nordic yes say the least it is Jim Norton now. Not nordic you wanna talk about a combination of powerful combination of funny in beautiful -- had Whitney Cummings on your second by -- third by -- has. And and then personally and that vote the person and I think is currently rare wearing the crown of funniest human being. Is Amy Schumer. Amy Schumer is fantastic I tried to get Amy to shoot ERS -- But because she was doing her -- -- family. I think I missed my window by a week because she was on hold for the film company was rehearsing every day and just literally had zero timer she would have done it. And I love the conversation you had at the end -- one show it was you know. It was Schumer and there was another there was another comedian and there and that look a little three way conversely I think he's. Yeah I it was a bunch of us and then there was a one on one we gave on the people told me they saw both. I -- -- I never watch anything I mean I -- a couple of scenes in Louisiana was candidate I'm just so filled with shame. I can't watch any of -- -- walked out and I get a check I'm like OK good that's done. I don't wanna see it. But Amy has been you know we tortilla on the road in and she's been so nice to me that she's put -- in her show. She -- really funny scene in the the film with Bill -- and her so it's that she's been really really good to me it's. It's like there's a new circle comedians kind of looking out for each other and -- -- one guy when one guy or gal steps up he reached back people the other ones with it yet I mean it's really and I've done the same for people who treated me well when I can. It's -- you know I always try to support the guys that loved me to Caribbean. You know they're funny of course in the you know right to go back and grabs a buddy who suction -- Come on number I -- now just they're nice but -- you know. I'm unhappy that the people that I knew when they were coming up. -- that not all them and let's be honest to the heart I would like to do film with Kevin -- not gonna happen because it could happen. And how best to. He's a funny guy did I bring you we have him on a couple weeks ago he's very very funny guy I remember Kevin and I are working together in in -- -- how awful it when you have an open field. And you give them like 300 bucks tonight which was fine I was making -- much more we're driving back and listen to Metallica and actually turning him into Metallica and he's kind of like you leave a guy like this like music. But in the tape got beaten -- through the tape out the window at a couple years later he's soul plane. And he's. Doing Arenas. To an arena and on tap dancing in clubs are -- -- open for you to 300 bucks is now selling out Madison Square Garden all the twice in the night I mean -- and he's legitimately funny -- -- Kevin Harden our guys just go looking like. He's really funny solid you know you gotta be happy for anyone find that's making. How much time and I think you're now among. You know the Jon Stewart John Oliver Louie CK Chris Rock Bill Maher I really think that -- in that group which is amazing because I mean let's face there's a lot of while a lot of bodily function jokes senior you know act very early on and did you feel yourself becoming did you feel you had an obligation to kind of turn your act. Around on society can you didn't like what you saw. Know what happens is as you get older as you mature as a comic I mean the things that interest you -- talking about change but I still talk about sex. But I again I'm telling me embarrassed I hope so we're coming to the late show tonight -- -- end -- in a closers are pretty awful true stories. You know I. I don't talk about that stuff but it'll Alito instead of you see people getting fired -- to get penalized for saying things you realize that the punishment arbitrary the -- -- like you start to annoy you -- you talk about that stuff and I use my own. I tell the truth about myself sexually and what I've done. I try to tell the truth about my knee in my own flaws like speak of that speech and all that stuff because I'm not the position ranking judge other guys for same dumb stuff can -- say a lot of it. Well Nancy do you ever feel like geez I could not -- over shared in terms of you'll overexposed but I. I imagine you gotta keep a little -- your private life for yourself just a little -- you dislike as you know you're like transparent in the hallway and frightening part -- like 20% I've kind of kept under my -- nationally stick that is it's not -- sick did you think I'll say this is nothing with animals or kids -- -- things stayed away from. Good boy in progress yeah progress is -- no. That doesn't really -- like you know priest scandal or no you know no dogs coming out and barking with tears on their face and a witness their current. Nothing horrendous like that. Not open about most of them because if you tell the truth about it they can't cash you wouldn't burn you. -- -- -- yeah I I I really think that yeah you're like you to crossover moment for you you went from the guy who's on the radio on the guy sort of recognize -- the all everybody who likes -- he now knows you are with monster rain on HBO I thought that was just a brilliant special it was so funny I know that you got. After that what was it please be offended by an American degenerate as I think like out now on your web -- yes he. And yet that I'm shooting another one I hope coming up this year I'm -- edition of the materials all different -- in the specials first for the sweetness and eat -- huh. -- of specials menu you literally always come when new material there's very little carry over its knowledge you have your. A guy who was a guy and like the that the comedian's that that believe the country comedians Torre did have a great joke didn't run guy who had been enjoying it yeah I'd like to joke about it. You know. Hater something like it has always joke. It's like to stairway to heaven and he closes every show would you you'd do not do that Ron white has what I told -- this seriously is one of my favorite jokes -- dinner salad that's the joke I later I -- You don't know the bit I know I know and I'm familiar that is the bid but I don't know if a guy like got. But he is a joke guide some of the -- can you put weight on someone told me to touch my toes -- and a dollar touched my toes you're gonna have to cut them off on hand and -- Become like what a great that the fat joke. He's a funny -- -- he's a really thought about it is really good. That is the stuff that you're working on tonight's going to be is are is this. -- warm up for your next televised special. That's why I'm not doing the road again yeah I was I wanted to shoot something in in May -- June. But it was less than a year since my last once I couldn't get anyone to do it because you have to wait a little bit of time. And then now I told myself off the road to I want to get burned out on my act after a year -- finished. So I started playing with material and a little -- startling thing happens and actually glad I had been shot yet. And -- now it feels fresh again and I'm still talking about some of the stuff. But I if they FEMA they do is a lot of it is getting in trouble and language and what burns us and I like talking about that stuff. Jim Norton is -- cobb's comedy club that you can check him out tonight a couple of shows tomorrow. An early in -- late show is well you can check it all out cobb's comedy club dot com for tickets and everything. Being offended. Is a phony sense of empowerment that's a quote that I read you -- gave to the Huffington Post a couple years ago this and I absolutely love that quote being offended is a phony sense of empowerment it's not enough to like something. Now if you don't like something no one else to duplicate. Yeah and that's the bothersome part B and I should I wish I'd said that -- where I could have covered I think I left a little loophole there. Would be offended is okay like I've been offended I'm sure you have. It's when you want something done about it like you know what I mean I didn't like that she ended the period not a semi call it like you know it's if people are upset by something is perfectly acceptable. But you know if you if you want to her attorney Gail I need to do horrible -- of course going to be if I'm offended to be idiots not to be bothered. It's when people want you penalized or punished for doing a joke they find objectionable and that's where my problem comes in. So much and everything I should say you should just take it and have no opinion on it. You know you have an opinion I just don't expect me to to back up in and grovel and apologize. I've been following you on Twitter for very long time it's a great follow your funny guy here. Do you think the social media has made -- -- to each other or is literally just open the window that is showing us how awful we've been all along and now we just have a map to show it. I think a little bit about you know I mean I think we're a lot freer to snapping each other and say horrible things in a moment. You know like either people it is instantly reaching out a lot of performers don't like that -- why should people just peeled pulled me I saw immediately. Well why shouldn't I mean they're paying for your stuff for it or just block a little -- not mention if you don't -- -- -- mentioned you don't know what anybody said. So I never complain like -- people they shouldn't be able to tell me I stink like. I don't have to read them I could just tweak. Never look at I had mentioned and I never know so I think is the nature is causing people to say things that they might not say had they had five or ten minutes to think about it. And another to make gets worse than we would have been we've always been kind of crack and could be honest we -- a country had moved to what accounts for a long time nothing on Twitter. It's as bad as that early in the back of the bus or you can't write I mean let's be honest Americans though he's been the shining beacon of a wonderful -- it's not that no doubt Clinton I'm sure you'll like capture that in tonight's. Early and hopefully get in the late show I'm really looking forward to going and I tell me about meeting down. Articles I've met him a couple of times -- I saw him resize and I went in and to the and to start a show Las Vegas and he came out mean and mean can -- Jim Florentine we sit well. I did Leno awhile land later and he was on in you like my game and he was -- for -- that was funny. So I saw him recently in Montreal. There's four years ago we -- learn together and he saw me here's where I know you probably only backstage together. An eagle is a bit backstage -- someone of my guys go hey Don this kid does you better than you do Leo. I'm like that was the tonight's thought it was not a crime but he remembered that he had he didn't know exactly where but he remembered immediately that he had recognized in these 88 years old. And he still performing and he still sharp but you sit there and a bond get in his hand. And there's not a can immediately keep going into that room. I went in I get really places -- to meet -- all the comedians who are available. Winning just to pay homage. To this great you have to be doing it does this Sinatra being in the mafia in front of Sinatra right. He was -- did it way before anybody did it and I just comedic he's contributed so much. So it seems to be able to talk to him and tell -- that is a great honor. Absolutely well again it's been just. I've got to -- got a meeting new man and I think you are again Europe powerful combination. Of incredibly funny. Incredibly Smart and incredibly unafraid handsome well. Incredibly -- -- and I really think that you do and -- just you know a service to comedy really it's a pleasure to -- children -- before you showed tonight and good luck with everything with -- your website and everything. And your show back within the antibody accretion absolutely all the students. And -- you -- I'm you know what I meant yes not great dad Jim Norton and again get to cubs tonight early show late show tonight I think the late shows what 1015 it's perfect in regard Taiwan on have a stake incumbency it could. Beautiful Jim Norton here on the Damon Bruce show when we come on back we're gonna open up. Speaking of social media the tweets we're gonna take to the -- ask questions fire away. -- -- -- -- on 95 point seven thinking and. Welcome back where our last half hour this week. -- get a very good opportunity since we were talking -- Jim Norton. Music cobb's comedy club tonight tomorrow didn't get a good opportunity alleging other we're about to take it to the tweets so that's double wrapped up today show NET two. Pop on Twitter hit me Matt Damon Bruce would ever question you might have. Whether being about sports road house whatever. Everything is in play. We'll do that next we'll get to that next. Please hash tag to the tweets that is number two what the tweets. Got a couple things no real quick that I wanna get into. Until we got some great suggestions from fans earlier. In the show and yesterday. About ideas for in -- stadium. Somewhere. On planet earth. An architect is starting to think about what he or she wants to incorporate. Into a new -- stadium is -- sit down at the drawing board to design. And we've had some excellent I'm talking really good ideas from fans. My two favorite ideas so far. One of them we got last night. A big. Swiss Stanley Robinson. Disney World. Type of oak tree. It's got a treehouse in it for kids to go on play and a big slide down the trunk. May be a luxury box or something incorporated into it. And I think that would be a great signature. Eye grabber in a new stadium. The second thing that I really liked was the idea of taking a couple of the cranes. That dot the shoreline of Oakland. And suspend. A scoreboard. Off of the cranes. I thought that was a really good idea to. Few more good ideas that we got from the dropped him text line yesterday I wouldn't have a chance to share these. How about an -- in the ballpark that pays an homage to a is a legend swell of course. Comes from mark in Austin of course you gonna do that you're gonna have to have a wall of fame I even like the idea that we got today for a wall of beards -- greats. -- a great. Homage to all the facial hair. That we've seen in -- players throughout the year. Put alive elephant behind center field. Again I got Peta protesting your games. I don't know if you need a live elephant out there in center field. You've seen the last thing you want is for an. Angry elephant to get all spooked out by a big home run and starts. Impeding. How did Coco Crisp -- injury is neck to be run into the outfield wall trying to go after a ball no. He actually got stampeded in the fifth inning after a big home run was said by Mike Trout. Fans started going freaked out the elephant down one Coco. Now when she needs. How about a proper mothers area my wife hates going to the game and having no placed upon. So it puts her off from going to the game two years in a row now. The movie station pump and -- Absolutely if the ladies need that do that. If I were finished I don't think I've ever started a sentence like this before. But if I -- a mother who had just given birth. I don't think I'd wanna be breast feeding. At a ball game. I I would definitely be a breast feeding type of a woman. And I cannot believe I'm saying this on the -- I would definitely breast -- -- woman. But. I wouldn't wanna do it at a baseball game because of the amount Yahoo!'s who'd be like say Mike check it out section don't wanna do what what's gone. You just don't want that so yes a little private area for mom absolutely. What about honoring Oakland's proud labor heritage with a giant hard hat -- kids. Can play on construction types of vehicles to be sure. Whatever make it to the kids. -- -- a giant mechanical stopper. It could come off terribly like the giant mechanical rusty that they had to. Over at AT&T park when it originally opened is. Pac bell they had rusty the mechanical guy who came out from home were landing in it was just awful. People would blue rusty like he was crazy crab. A giant bronze statue of Billy -- looking down. -- entire stadium. That would be good. A bronze statue of Billy -- overseeing everything from center field not bad good suggestions. Another good suggestion for Connie -- -- you absolutely. BA should have a Connie Mack statue. Straw hat wearing the suit looks good. To what -- -- the giants -- slide. Another listener suggested what about a Pepsi slide. Just to combat disease whatever the giants do we can do it. Twenty more ounces. About instead of having a Coke bottle you have an oversized two leader of Pepsi. And even mountain do I do like Ukraine supporting a scoreboard I still think that that's a great great idea. Again your questions -- will take it to the tweets coming up in just a little bit hit me at Damon Bruce on Twitter. That's our gonna start wrapping up today's show whatever questions you've got. Shoot them to meet at Damon Bruce that is where we're going to be gone. Today. As we wrap up to show let's go out the red -- in San Francisco read how Oreo. I'll read is gone that's okay. It'll give me time to get to this. This is one of those stories where you have to think do you really want to share this. You really wanna share because in money. You know if you save in sensitively someone's gonna complain. That I figured. And we got Jim Norton in the show today if you can't -- risks on that day when Kenya. At the risk of sounding insensitive. I share -- you this story. A billionaire. Was killed this week by a champagne cork. 49 year old Dion Zhang long. A well known flamboyant Chinese businessman. Died. A couple of days ago in his suite. The island shangri La hotel during a reception. That he was holding. For his upcoming fiftieth birthday party according to the 217. Witnesses who saw the tragedy at occurred. When he was opening a bottle of champagne. The cork. Hit him violently in the temple. Because the fatal brain hemorrhage and he died twenty minutes later. A Socialist Party was being held to celebrate mr. early on its fiftieth birthday. That would have taken place on August 2 nearly 200 guests were present. Including most of Hong Kong's political and economical -- We opened a bottle of champagne and was hit violently by the cork. Many witnesses started laughing at first greatly underestimating the severity of the injury. But in nearly science and nearly silence. Rapidly overcame the crowd is mr. Leon remained unconscious in the medical staff was. Urged on the site despite all efforts from paramedics. His death was confirmed again less than twenty minutes later. He was the 51. Richest man in Hong Kong according to Forbes. He was an eccentric real estate tycoon made a fortune and some very controversial deals over the years and more than his fortune. He was known for his lifestyle I guess he was an absolute party boy. And it was the party that got them. So here's what happened there. Either. A completely. Horrible awful person got what they deserved in the most ironic way. Possible. Or. A guy who -- hole early freaking awesome. Went out a blaze of glory that we should all be proud of think about it if your party boy. And that's what you are known as a new court and cultivate that reputation everywhere you go. -- like race car drivers that are killed in their car. Kind of the way they probably would wanna go out. Party boy. Death by -- although that would look a little. Rough on the actual obituary the next day in the paper cause of death. Average. It's rough. That's rough -- a cause of death. Carbonated beverage. And it's tough man that's a tough way to go out. Or it's either the most awesome way to go out of all time I haven't decided yet still have not decided whether or not. This is the way I would want I'd never die or this is the only way I wanted to this is awesome I -- I feel sorry for his family obviously we have -- death here but. What say you love skydiving junior killed in the sky diving accident. You know there's. Tragedy there but there's also some intrinsic beauty -- that writes. Maybe. Anyone dealer I think so. So. It. 51 richest guy in China known as a billionaire party boy gets placed by a cork. I want to know kind of champagne he was opening was it actually from the champagne region was that a proper champagne -- was -- a sparkling white wine. Northern Californians wanna know. When we come back. It's time to open up the old Twitter machine and see what's waiting for me hopefully a whole bunch of questions for you all properly cash -- to two of the tweets that. One segment left this week we do it. Win the -- via Twitter at Damon Bruce send me your questions. We take it to the tweets. As we come on back to wrap up this week here on 957 and it. Welcome back to the demons Bruce beyond what 95 point seven became. The big headline that we learned today is that day US district judge has ruled in favor of Ed O'Bannon a ground breaking anti trust suit against the NCAA we will have more details and more knowledge. Of all let's really happening here next week when we return we'll be discussing that I can promise you we will be recapping. On Monday with the raiders looked like at 1098. Right now looks like they're a ten nothing hole. In their pre season opener against. Minnesota after one quarter. We've got Troy clarity coming up the dugout show is going to be at the top of the hour -- so guard Joseph stiglitz will be joining Troy. To preview tonight's game again it is Kazmir. Just look at first thirteenth when I believe that would have him tied it. For the most amount of wins an American League takes on. Kyle Gibson is the twins remain in town Lester was everything you hoped for last night you know what that feels like a really good place. To start are taken into the tweets segment right after we cop to this apparently I was fooled. That awesome. Death by beverage -- story. May be fake apparently it could be from the Asian version of the onion I didn't realize there was an Asian onion. Even if I got duped I still love the story and stand by me broadcasting it hopefully you enjoyed it now. Let's take it to the tweets. Not everyone has time to make a phone call. -- -- Tweets -- -- First of all start -- a nice compliment really not for me but for Jim Norton. Cellar door. Enjoyed it very much. Thanks so that I I think Jim Norton system funny guy he is a powerful combination. Of funny brilliance and absolutely disgusting. That I think you have to admire on some -- -- really really -- This is John John says Damon do you think the trade for Jon Lester was more accepted after last night. Says this couldn't. Pitch a complete three hitter now he couldn't. Says it is who's not pitching. Any -- much less in nine shut -- And if you had any trepidation about the Lester -- don't police saw the impact that he can have on the games that he's in the only. It criticism you might have a say says this can help you every day Lester can only help you once every five days spill. If he can pitch like that once every five days. That should really pay off come postseason time. Brian says Damon of course the one day I'm not in the office this week not only do I miss catering. I miss one of my favorite comics in studio yes you miss Jim Norton but you don't have to miss him if he got I think like 25 bucks in your product. You can go see -- concert to shows tonight two more shows coming up tomorrow I got to go to night. This tomorrow on the Tom Petty baby outside -- Let's say. David where can we find that sweet raiders song you played earlier. What do you mean the autumn wind. The autumn wind was a pirate where can you find that you can find that where he can find pretty much everything online. I mean working -- According -- twenty global -- -- it'll pop up roughly four billion times. Choose anyone of the four billion options. And you should be able to enjoy yourself instantly. Area. I do love the beginning now big John percent to. It's the only Mannelly rhyming of sash. And mustache. You'll ever get in your life. The the raider. Autumn when was a pirate thing. This is from Kevin long he writes Damon days pitching stayed healthy. Would their trade deadline. Have been different. For some margin yes. Lester maybe not. Lester is the kind of guy -- if you're trying to win a World Series you're gonna try to add him if you can maybe at any point in time. So margin may be not you know one of the questions I didn't ask Billy when we talked to yesterday. Don't know if it was an appropriate question I just didn't know if you would really if you could answer appropriately slab lifted out of the interview. One of the questions I had was do you make the deal for Jon Lester. If you won the 2008 World Series. Would there be so much stress on go for -- right now this year. If one of these other years behind us the ace cross the finish line in first place would -- -- is gung ho about winning this marathon. If he already won a marathon. And I just didn't think he'd really answer the question because I'm a look at it this way. He's gonna tell you he's gonna try and beat and he's been trying to win it all the time not just some of the time or not just once. But I really wonder if if this would have played differently. If the title had already been claimed by -- -- I guess we'll never know. Let's move along here. Lot of people some people are bombed that they missed the Jim Norton interview believe me you can enjoy it online in the podcast will be up. At the end of this hour Jenna and Santa Rosa says Damon what game at drones character. Reminds you. Of Derek Norris. I need a -- did this. -- -- thrown scared there at the very least. The most captain -- Manny. Of all game at throws care didn't and it may be maybe it's the mountain. It is how -- how not to mountain -- and maybe. -- -- And -- Derek Norris reminds me captain -- man more than reminds me of any one particular game drones character. Although he did. -- -- a little he's not quite is. Robustly Harry is he was a couple months ago. We've got dead Jennifer Nevada weighing in here on Twitter she says Damon love the use of for -- supporting the outcome been -- breastfeeding. Why do you think people are so squeamish. About breast feeding. Well you've asked the right person and that's for sure if you could put up. I don't know. America. Talks out of both sides of its mouth at all times. On one hand. This is of will be loving country if there ever was one you'll look at the amount of pornography that's consumed you look at the amount of you know clicks the notion of movies get. On the Internet Ali sheer -- quickly -- what. You look at. In which Sports Illustrated puts out a bit to Sports Illustrated basically. Dedicates. One issue a year. To cleavage. I -- a powerful thing right that is powerful. So. One would suggest. That we are a booby loving country. However. There aren't yet. Got naked women in Orange juice commercials in Europe and naked women. Advertising after school programs in Europe I think it's just it's totally different. The concept of a topless beach in Europe it's so common you don't even notice it anymore ear people whole group because preacher also. Just a whole bunch of dudes dawn and out after work -- that it -- bigger it's. I don't know I really don't know. Why is it on one hand we love boobs and on the other hand you don't almighty god Janet Jackson nearly brought down the republic. -- that halftime of the Super Bowl. I just I don't get that I really really don't Janet. Damon doesn't -- a margin looked like he could have been one of Jesse pink men's home boys on breaking bad. Yes there is a really. Spin to lease -- he heroin era Matty look to lament times are hard -- that's much. Ai thank you very very much. For children not in it was a fun showed today.
